Are you interested in making a difference?
Want to contribute to your local community?
Become a governor with us!
ROBUS Multi-Academy Trust is seeking governors to join our Academy Governing Boards and we are keen to attract the skills and experiences of people from our local community. You do not need to be an expert in education, and you do not need previous governor experience. We want to hear from people from as many different backgrounds and with as wide a range of interests as possible.
Our academies have their own unique identity in serving their local communities; one is graded 'Outstanding' by Ofsted whilst the other three are graded as 'Good' with elements of outstanding.
This is an exciting time to be joining ROBUS Multi-Academy Trust. Our Board adamantly believes that education is the springboard for life and we are committed to providing a rich and exciting curriculum that enables every child to excel academically, socially, and emotionally, working together to ensure that every child is happy and safe during their time with us.
We have launched our Strategic Plan for the next three years, our Key Stage 2 results are in excess of national levels, and we continue to make innovative changes to provide an exciting, dynamic, and ambitious curriculum that is accessible to all of our learners. We want to transform the lives of our pupils and support them to grow and thrive as kind and ambitious future citizens.
This is a voluntary role - individuals will need to commit to attending board meetings every half-term, generally lasting a couple of hours, as well as termly monitoring days. This equates, on average, to about 15 hours per term.
What can we offer you:
Although the role is voluntary, you will have the opportunity to work with our excellent team of staff and governors on a diverse range of matters. You can help us to further improve and develop our Trust as we enter our next phase, with the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping to make a difference in our children's education, gaining a wider perspective on a key part of our community, and the opportunity to learn new skills through a broad training and development programme.
